Operation Save Abortion

We're training eager volunteers to be matched with abortion access orgs!

Partner Interest Survey

In anticipation of our July 17 Operation Save Abortion volunteer drive, we've been working with Apiary and Digital Defense Fund (DDF) on ways to support organizations’ volunteer management work. We've been brainstorming ways we can join our efforts to be most useful to orgs that are hoping to capitalize on a surge of volunteer interest this summer. We'd love some input from you to make sure we're on the right path.

Recruitment: we collect information from interested volunteer candidates and direct them to you

Vetting: we attempt to determine if a volunteer is values-aligned using a combination of questionnaires, social media checks, reference checks, participation in trainings, interviews, etc.

Matching: we attempt to determine if a volunteer is a good fit for current needs at your organization by collecting information from you about your needs and information from the volunteer about their skills/interests. We then refer the volunteer to your org for onboarding.

Training: we deliver Abortion Access 101-style training to vetted volunteer candidates so they can arrive at your org ready to contribute

Referral: we develop channels for you to hand off strong volunteers with skills or location that are better suited to other orgs.

Coaching: we work with you to develop volunteer management processes consisting of any of the above steps.
